MOSH
hello to all reading this
i was looking over my old eminem albums and i couldn't help but be drawn towards listening to mosh. Now i don't know what some of you think of that song but i love it. Sure we all like eminems songs that basically rip everyone else, but a majority of the time he is critisized for being a glorified white trash rapper. I agree and disagree on this point, after all yes he is the defination of white trash (if you look at the way he was brought up. i mean that as no insult whatsoever) and alot of the time he does complain about the way he was brought up. But he also makes a powerful point that many of these modern day rappers dont. While the rest of them complain that they had no father, there mothers prostituted themselves out, their stories seem to generate around having nothing.
This to me seems overworked and over used. But eminem did come from nothing, we all saw 8 mile (i will agree with some critics that it was a bit meh) and saw how he coped with everything.
So while listening to mosh i thought alot of the critics were wrong, yes he might be white trash, but he is white trash with a head on his shoulders, mosh inspired me because it drew from real life modern day that everyone could relate to, it made the point of uniting the nation. And it drew in every possible aspect of corruption within a nation.
All this got me thinking come the 2008 elections are we going to get another mosh, are we going to have another inspirational song. And finally is there more to Eminem than people make a deal of.
Thanks for reading.
